🌊 Autumn 2025 -The Beginning of My Journey

So here we are. After 13 years in the UK and one short week back in the Czech Republic, I finally decided to make a change. A big one.

For years I’ve been dreaming of living life differently — chasing sunshine, exploring new cultures, learning new things, and most of all, collecting stories that would stay with me forever. And now, finally, I can say it out loud: my adventure has begun.

My first destination? Portugal.More precisely: Ericeira. A beautiful little coastal town that surfers call paradise, and travelers like me call “home — at least for now.”

Why Portugal? Why Now?

To be honest, there wasn’t some long, complicated plan. I didn’t spend months overthinking it. I simply got a job offer there — only for a month — and something inside me said: why not?

Life’s too short to wait for the “perfect moment.” There’s no such thing. So I said yes.

I bought a one-way ticket, threw my essentials into my backpack (and probably too many “just in case” clothes 😅), and before I even had time to second-guess myself, I was sitting on a plane heading south.

The Feeling of a New Chapter

There’s something magical about one-way tickets. You don’t know what’s going to happen. You don’t know where you’ll end up. But you do know that the journey has officially started.

As I looked out of the plane window, watching the clouds drift beneath me, I felt this mix of fear and excitement bubbling inside. I was leaving behind the familiar and stepping into the unknown. And you know what? It felt right.

Ericeira – My First Stop

When I arrived, I instantly understood why people call Ericeira special. The salty breeze, the endless horizon, the sound of waves crashing against the cliffs — it all just pulls you in.

It’s not just about surfing (though that’s a huge part of the culture here). It’s about the lifestyle. People seem to move slower, smile more, and live closer to the ocean, both physically and spiritually.

And here’s a little secret: I might have another upcoming job offer in Portugal. Nothing is confirmed yet, so shhh… let’s keep it between us for now. But one thing is certain — my big adventure in Portugal is definitely not over. I can’t wait to see more of this country. 🇵🇹✨
